Hello everyone. This is John Linquist with KC PIER and today we’re out in Kansas City, Missouri, where we’ve got a porch with a rock foundation that’s been slowly just slipping and tipping into the earth. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to be putting in a four piers, which will support the stone foundation and keep it from falling in anymore. So let’s go check it out and see what we’re looking at.
Stone Foundation Repair Kansas City
Brian Dufour:
So today we’re in Kansas City, Missouri. We’re in the Brookside area on a stone foundation. It’s a little unique, and there’s not a lot of people that take on a task like this. But what we’re doing is, we’re putting in DynaPier Systems on the exterior, as you can see, the holes that are going. What we’re doing is, we’re going to push them and support it, where it is. Stone foundations have no footings, so you can’t really push and keep everything together. So the main objective is to get it to stop moving, so they can come in and tuck points and get everything taken care of so they don’t have to tear it down and rebuild fresh. So right now, they’re digging. They got about another three-foot to go until we get to the point where we can actually start driving the pier segments in the ground and hitting refusal and getting the front porch to be permanently stationary after we get done.
John Lindquist:
So we’re coming to the end of the job in Kansas City, Missouri. And what we’ve got now is four peers up underneath the stone foundation on the porch. And what that’s going to do is keep the porch from settling any further and worsening or creating new cracks like we saw earlier.
